Happy Thanksgivukkah!

Happy Thanksgivukkah!

Due to a quirk in celestial and Gregorian calendars, the first full day of Hanukkah and Thanksgiving fall on the same day! The last time it happened was 1888 and it won’t happen again for 79,043 years.

Note to future great-great-great-great…..great grandkids: Happy Thanksgivukkah! (That is, if I ever get married and have kids).

Note to readers: Upon further research, assuming a generation is about 30 years, that would be about 2,600 “greats” in the above note. But I could be wrong, as I am awful at math.

For those of my non-US readers, Thanksgiving is an American holiday that I absolutely adore. To learn more about it (including when and who turned it into a national holiday), watch this short video (approx. 3 min.) from The History Channel.

I hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday!
